The startup CryptoNext Security, specialized in the field of new generation cryptography for ultra-secure HSMs (Hardware Security Modules), has just been awarded one of the 10 major i-Lab 2020 prizes. Supported by SATT Lutech, CryptoNext Security, was co-founded by Ludovic Perret (Sorbonne University) and Jean-Charles Faugère (Inria). CryptoNext Security offers a cryptographic library that combines the best of current cryptographic standards with new quantum computer resistant algorithms. This French solution is “hybrid”. It complements the solutions currently implemented to offer a second lock. Security is thus reinforced and the data is already ready to face the quantum threat, while allowing to keep their current labels. Another success for a start-up supported by SATT Lutech, Qubit Pharmaceuticals is one of the 63 national winners of the 2020 competition. Founded by Jean-Philip Piquemal (Sorbonne University), Qubit Pharmaceuticals offers the most accurate and fastest software suite in the world, to improve drug discovery through in silico modeling of molecular interactions, the first link in the entire value chain of the pharmaceutical industry.

Three other start-ups from the Sorbonne University ecosystem and its Faculty of Engineering Sciences or associated laboratories were distinguished. SeaBe Life Biotech, led by Morgane Rousselot from the LIB2M laboratory (Laboratory of Integrative Biology of Marine Models), Fuzzy Logic Robotics, co-founded by Ryan Lober and Antoine Hoarau from ISIR (Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics) and finally Packet Al resulting from the work carried out within Lip6 (Computer science research laboratory) by Hardik Thakkar and Abdelhadi Azzouni. SeaBeLife Biotech is a biopharmaceutical company that dedicates its innovative approaches to emergency medicine, resuscitation and oncology services. Fuzzy Logic Robotics aims to democratize industrial robotics by offering a unique and intuitive solution to master the entire digital chain in agile production. PacketAI is a start-up specializing in IT monitoring. It is developing an intelligent solution capable of predicting IT failures and identifying the source so that they can be resolved quickly, even before they occur.
