Technology
- The invention aims to increase the signal-to-noise ratio of self-referencing quantitative phase microscopes, thus enabling the detection and characterization of moving nanoobjects with a simple and cheap optical set-up.
- The module fits onto standard cameras and requires a single image capture, as opposed to techniques that average hundreds of images. This enables objects to be tracked in time and space.
- Sensitivity > 10 MDa (virus, ribosome, antibody…). Measures cell size, mass, density and growth.
- Label-free (versus fluorescence that can disturb cells), no preparation (faster process).
